Join us for an afternoon program featuring local artists who will be sharing their songs, poems, stories, and artwork in a casual, friendly setting. All are welcome to come and listen. We believe that everyone can be an artist and we recognize that there are artists in these areas. You do not have to be a professional for this event. Our featured performers are:
Ethel Fraga is an educator and has been writing poetry since her students taught her how. She writes poems in the Japanese haiku form, in free verse, and also in the spirit of the Portuguese Fado tradition, celebrating things past and poignant from her childhood in a Portuguese American home.
Alan O’Hareis a seanchie, a storyteller from the ancient Celtic tradition, who has created over twenty plays and countless original stories, and awakened the tales of countless people, communities, and cultures.
