Edward Bobit (Bobbet) was an early casualty of King Phillip's War. Bobit was killed by Indians as he made his way to Taunton in 1675. The partial inscription reads, "[Edward] Bobett/[di]ed June/1675."
Toy
Miniature arm chair: straight front and rear posts with round finials; three horizontal and three vertical spindles on back, six plain stretchers. Paper seat; purple velvet cushion.
Wampum
Box with glass cover containing necklace with forty-one (41) copper beads, thirteen (13) white and nineteen (19) purple quahog shell to show where beads come from.
Wheel, Spinning
Spinning wheel (flax wheel) with 16 turned spokes, all of which have decorative bulbous design. Center petal is made from three pieces of wood in an "A" shape. Legs have bulbous decoration as well. Bottom has a label [possible from when it came in?] which says "Mrs. Sutherland Orr/ 26 Dean Street, Taunton."

(a) slate whetstone with rounded ends (b) rectangular pine stand with hard ground depression; "Miles Standish whetstone March 14, 45 dug from the ashes of his burnt house by S. Stetson, Duxbury. The shears found at the same & place. Presented to Old Colony Hist. Socty 1854 Dec." written onto sides of stand
