Stamp

Strainer
Bowl with perforated holes in a sunburst design out from the center. Outer edge of tea strainer is flat and has the appearance of other LV plate rims with a rolled edge. Two handles, similar to other designs on porringers and bon bon dishes by LV are attached to opposite sides of piece. Handle is identical to porringer handle No. 396, as seen in the LV catalogue.

Rectangular tray with beveled edge and raised outer rim. Style may date to the 1930's.
Trunk
Trade trunk for Lester Vaughan's Pewter Company out of Taunton. Both ends have "Vaughan's Pewter. Taunton, Mass" and company symbol of "LH" over "V" in box. Steamer trunk construction. Leather strap handles at either end. Metal handle to prop open trunk, although it is broken. Some decorative metalwork along edges and double riveted brass strips around entire trunk for support. Trunk is sturdy in its construction, no doubt to carry heavy metal objects and possibly tools. Two latches on front and center lock, although it no longer works. Remnants of paper label on top (writing is illegible but can make out what appears to be a partial "Vaughan" and "Taunton").
Vase
Vase with a circular base with a beveled edge. Bottom of vase is open. 6 large petals rise up from the base. Along the body of the base, a slightly indented line denotes each of the 6 petals that end at the top in a scalloped edging going around the piece. Signed: (1) "LH" over "V" (2) "L.H. Vaughan, Taunton, Mass."
Vase
