Gouge; flat on one side with large dark spot (where tape was); large iron spot at top of butt; other side rounded with 2 shallow grooves in medial section; also faintly etched lines (pattern?); shows signs of battering on bit end; cutting edge is polished from use.

Piece appears to be modified version of a full grooved axe, which was probably fractured and then modified; they scoop of the gouge is very rough and either unfinished or perhaps used that way

Short plain gouge with deep channel scoop; brownish on convex side with several small chips at base; base very rough; deep channel scoop very smooth with several red streaks; gouge shows lots of wear resulting in hard polish.

Short shallow scoop plain gouge; convex side shows much evidence of pecking; signs of battering and reddish brown stain at bit end; working end polished from wear; concave side lighter in color and groove not as defined
