German silver, "US Navy officer's covered dish, made by Reed & Barton, #3000. Round serving dish with flanking handles and gadrooned mounts on base and lip. Top with handle (B) and engraved anchor with "USN." Hard metal or hotel ware. Bottom mark also includes "V" year mark (1942).

(a) Glass fruit bowl dish with scalloped edged design. Striped vertically with clear and opaque glass stripes. Horizontal double stripe along top edge of bowl. Glass pedestal to secure to silver stand at center of bowl on bottom. (b) Silver plated stand for glass bowl. 7.5 "h x 7.5 " diameter. Top of stand has hollow inverted pedestal that bowl fits into with lace edge trip, engraved with floral crests. Center of stand consists of series of curved and squared pedestals. Bottom of stand has buffalo and Indian motif.
