Henry and Ulalia Burt settled in Springfield MA where he emigrated from England. He married Ulalia in England on Dec. 23, 1619. They had 12 children. The Early Days in New England. Life and Times of Henry Burt of Springfield and some of his descendants written by Henry M. Burt and Silas W. Burt, published in Springfield Mass by Clark W. Bryan Company, Printers, 1893 says “He appears to have done service to his town and there might not have been anything special in this. However, it is by his descendants he is honored, not only as the founder of the family in New England, but as one who led a life of usefulness to others and whose name stands for high moral purpose, strict integrity and unfaltering devotion to duty.” Their descendants went on to settle towns in Massachusetts, minister, set up various businesses, politics, etc.
