Reed & Barton

This collection features over 300 examples of Reed & Barton pewter, Britannia, sterling, and silver-plated items held at the Old Colony History Museum. From its 1824 start in pewter ware to its closure in 2015, Reed & Barton produced metal wares reflecting America's evolving tastes, contributing to commerce and providing high-quality products to a diverse customer base.

Cylindrical pewter beaker; thin rounded band around the perimeter of the lip; thin flat band around the perimeter of the base; base flares out at the bottom; thin horizontal stamp in the center under the base is marked "BABBITT CROSSMAN & CO"; smooth interior with etched band along the inner based perimeter.

A: Simple sterling miniature Revere bowl with wide, deep bowl. Pedestal tiered base, simple design. Engraved at bottom with maker's mark B: Original square box for bowl; bottom is heave stock light blue and white patterned paper with flowers and geometric shapes. The box bottom looks like a pedestal with two tiers. The top/inside of box is royal blue velous with raised circular stand at center for bowl to rest into. Cover is clear plastic.
